We had a crazy visit to northern Michigan. After one night on South Manitou a ranger let us know there were storms coming and the ferry wouldn't be coming again until Monday so we had better pack up our things and get off the island. We ended up hiking the trails in Sleeping Bear dunes and getting blown off our bikes by the weather on Mackinac Island. Someone should warn the tourists on Mackinac that although the fudge there is delicious, eating a half-pound at once will make you sick.
